Thanks to all I’ve had the privilege of teaching!
Thank you!

While in the States this last month, I’ve had the awesome opportunity to teach two women’s retreats. One for Calvary Chapel Temecula Valley and the other for Orchard Christian Fellowship. Teaching in the States reminded me just how much I love to teach. So I want to take a moment to thank all the ladies who attended. But I should also mention, this is not limited to just the most recent retreats, this THANK YOU goes out to all women whom I’ve have the privilege of working with over the year. You’ve blessed my heart so in many ways. Below are just a few.
Thank you:
- For wanting to draw closer to God.
- For having a heart to listen to God’s Word.
- For being open to what God wants to do in and through your lives.
- For loving each other. I enjoyed watching your friendships deepen.
- For laughing.
- For crying.
- For giving me the opportunity to pray with many of you.
- For subscribing to my blog.
- For encouraging me.
- For reminding me how much I love to teach in English.
These are just a few of the things I love about teaching retreats.

But perhaps my favorite thing about teaching at a retreat or seminar is being given a theme and a theme verse. I’m always clueless about what to share. So I grab my Bible, study the verse and wait upon the Lord. He always surprises me in what He wants me to share with the women. Below is the great theme for Calvary Chapel Temecula Valley’s 2017 retreat.

Your Turn
Ministry Leaders: What is your favorite thing about hosting and serving at a retreat or seminar? Attendees: What is your favorite thing about attending a retreat? I’m looking forward to hearing from you. God bless, Cherie
P.S. I should also add a thank you to all who’ve purchased a book or two from me over the years.
I have been to quite a few bible studies and retreats. New truths are always revealed, sweet friendships ignited, unforgettable bonds and memories are made. I have to say I have never been so convicted and led to discover little hidden “cuds” keeping me from entering the Holy of Holies (beautiful and powerful analogy) though. I realize I usually find them in places I was convinced it was someone else’s fault, where I am the victim or where I want to control a certain outcome or behavior. I now see this reaction is fed by fear, fear of losing control, not letting God do His thing and trusting His outcome – His plans, His timing. Once again, standing on Who He Is, setting that anchor deep into His promises has allowed me to remove what was blocking me from entering into that special place, experiencing His peace and joy.
I look forward to finding my nitch as I trust His plans and timing. I have said that before, the trusting part…. but I think it finally “sunk” in… (slow learner….)
Thank you Cherie for being vulnerable, funny, down to earth, letting the Holy Spirit lead you with great sense of humor when your notes “disappeared”. and for the wonderful notes you were able to follow 🙂 It was a real blessing. May God continue to bless you and your ministry.
Thanks Dorley for your encouragement. I really enjoyed the retreat. God bless. P.S. It was pretty funny when my notes disappeared! God is so good. He had something better planned.
